BBQ Chicken anyone?

Hey there! Today is my Design Team day for SVG Cutting Files Cut Club.

Not a Cut Club Member? Find out how to become a member here.

I am using a page sketch from the new September bundle for my recipe page today.

This recipe page is scaled to 8"x 8".
This chicken dish is an all time favorite of mine found in a church cookbook.

The sketch layout file is music themed, but I switched out the record shapes for
chickens and added my own title using my silhouette design software.

The Nuvo crystal drops added a touch of dimension and
covered up a tiny mistake I had on the page.

Here's a complete list of items I used today....

So many candles!

I am sharing a card I did for a birthday earlier this summer.

I came across the design on Pinterest one evening and was determined to replicate it.
I found the original design on the Art impressions Blog. The DT member Sharon had put this card together.
I am very much a beginner when it comes to copic markers, blending and putting the right colors together.
Sharon's post was fantastic in that she listed all the copic markers she used to color the stamped image.
That was so helpful to me.
It also meant I got to add to my copic marker stash.

I played for a while piecing different cut files in my database in the silhouette to create the shaped card.
Then the coloring task was before me. After several attempts I got to this finished stage.

Thanks Sharon for the great inspiration and instruction.

Back to School!

It's my design day over at SVG Cutting Files.
I am sharing a new file being released this week all of which are school related, the School pal files.
I am using the Deer School pal today.

The base of the card is a die cut from Jaded blossom that works nicely to slide a few pencils through

Here's the list of files and stamps I used on this project.....
