For my project, I was lucky to get to work with the Prince John file from SVG Cutting Files. For those of you that do not know, Prince John is from the movie Robin Hood. He certainly is not very nice and is known to tax the people leaving them in poverty.
I decided to make a little treat holder that could hold some very large chocolate gold coins. They seem appropriate based on Prince Johns character. I used a flag die from the Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Dies set for my sentiment from the V is for Villains stamp set.
Next up on the Hop is Gigi.

Gobble til' ya Wobble!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

It's going to be a busy weekend with eating lots of good food tomorrow, some shopping, and cookie baking.

I put together some last minute treat bags for my trainer at the gym and some neighbors.

I just want to say, die cuts from SVG Cutting Files and the Cameo made this so super quick and easy.
With the simple but very cute Gobble Til You Wobble  cut file, I was able to put these together in about 30  minutes.

Because I needed to get these done quickly, I printed and cut about 4 layers of my turkey and used pop dots to layer.

I stamped the background mat with a fall stamp from the Jaded Blossom Holiday Treat Tags stamp set for a tone on tone effect. The sentiment on the flag die cut is my own from the BugBites Autumn Splendor stamp set.

I filled the treat bags with a mix of Crispex cereal, Candy corn M&Ms, Caramel bits, and caramel apple candy corn.

*****Sale Alert*****
For those of you that have been looking to add the BugBites Stamps to your collection, wait no longer. Yup- I am jumping on the band wagon and doing a Black Friday sale on all BugBites stamps, while supplies last.

Starting Friday morning my stamps sets will be just $10 each. They're great stocking stuffers for the crafter on your list or for your self!

Happy Thanksgiving.

DCD Thank you Challenge

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week we are challenging you with making a Thank you card.

A few weeks ago I was in NYC for the Marathon working. I love being in that city in the fall. I had several people working with me and owe them a huge thank you. So my card today is a thank you card for them.
It reminds me of the city skyline view you see when walking in Central Park.
I started with a new base card file from SVG Cutting Files
I added a City skyline cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cricut cartridge. Who would have thought that was on this cartridge.
I needed some color and turned to the fall tree file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons which I printed and cut using the Cameo.
Next up was the old stone wall you see around Central Park so I cut a 1/2" strip of grey paper and ran it through the Cuttlebug.
Finally, a NYC card would not be complete with out a yellow cab.

This little taxi is a new release this Friday over at SVG Cutting Files. I printed and cut one taxi and then printed and cut it again but without the wheels so I could piece it together with foam tape and then added some sparkle to the windows and tail light with a glitter pen. The sentiment is from My Creative Time.
I ended up making a total of 12 of these little cards and got them all in the mail yesterday.

Don't forget to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog to see the other DT members have for inspiration this week and don't forget to link up your Thank you project.

Merry and Bright

Happy Friday. This Friday I get to share with you a brand new SVG Cutting file being released today! Let me introduce you to Emily. She is so sweet and look at all that curly hair!
My card is layered with digital papers from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. After all that paper layering, I added some more embellishments....ribbon and hemp twine, buttons, gems, and stickles. The sentiment is from My creative Time and that sweet face is from PKS.

I'm taking the day off to have a creative day!

Snowman Hugs!

It's release week for Digi My World and there are some super cute files being released tomorrow.
One of the sets being released this week is the Chibi Snowmen. I used one of the three images in this set for my winter treat card today. The card is a pocket card for a cocoa packet. You can find a detailed tutorial here.
I colored and cut the snowman with the Silhouette. I also added a red shadow piece behind him so he would pop off that colorful snowflake paper.  My sentiment is from the My Craft Spot Think Snow stamp set. To give it a final bit of sparkle I added some sequins and covered them in crystal stickles.

Be sure to leave a comment on each post this week for a chance to win one of the 3 new sets being released on Friday.

We also have a special Facebook event so be sure to check the daily posts there.

A DCD Thanksgiving Challenge

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. The Thanksgiving holiday is just a week away. Where does the time go.
This week the challenge is to create a Thanksgiving project.  I used a cut file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons for my project this week.
I pieced the cornucopia and then added some die cut leaves from My Creative Time. A little Twine, a button and a simple sentiment from my own BugBites Autumn Splendor stamp set and my card is complete.

Don't forget to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog to see what my friendly and creative DT friends have to share with you this week. I look forward to seeing your button creations.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hi Everyone!  There is a new challenge at SVG Cutting Files, the theme is anything Birthday related. Project must include a a file from SVG Cutting Files.
Be sure to link your project at the blog or Facebook Galleria Group by December 15. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the store.
For a little inspiration I did a birthday card that is also a gift card holder. The base of the card starts as a piece of card stock measuring 4.25" x 10". I scored it at the 4" and 8" mark along the long side and fold. Be sure the 2" flap is folded into the inside. This becomes the pocket for the gift card. Just use some score tape on the sides to secure it.

To the card base, I added a scalloped circle to frame my birthday cupcake. I used two SVG Cutting Files images, the freebie Valentine Cupcake and the Party Time Celebrate file and layered them together.  A few strokes of my glitter pen and I have a new birthday card for my stash.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your Birthday projects.

Nutty for you!

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week the challenge is to create a project with buttons. I love using buttons. My project this week I am sharing with you is a nutty little treat box.
I started with the slider box die from My Creative Time.  I wrapped some burlap ribbon around it to get some texture and a rustic feel. Then I added the super cute squirrel from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. He goes perfectly with my sentiment from my own BugBites Candy Speaks stamp set.

I finished my treat box off with a button tied up with some hemp and filled the box with a mini snicker bar.

Don't forget to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog to see what the very creative DT has done for this challenge. I look forward to seeing your button creations.

It's beginning to look like Christmas!

Hey everyone. I am back from spending a week in NYC for the NYC Marathon. So proud of my husband and son for finishing the marathon. Well, when I got home, mother nature greeted us with 3 inches of fluffy white snow. So, I might as well get started on some Christmas cards.

Today is my design day for Digi My World  and a sneak peak at a new set of digital images set to be released tomorrow.
I used a new digital image that is part of the Getting Ready set. I colored and then cut out the image with the Cameo. I used foam tape to add the image to a scalloped mat. A bow, button and some sequins, my card was done.

Be sure to stop by Digi My World to see the entire set of Getting Ready digital images tomorrow. They are super cute.

Have a crafty day.

Die Cuttin' Diva's Monthly Sketch Challenge.

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. This week we have our monthly sketch challenge. Be sure to stop by the DCD blog to get the sketch and see the other DT inspiration projects. For my project I used a digital image from our sponsor, Crafty Sentiments, called Sitting Amy. She is so darn cute.
I used the print and cut with my Cameo to make her a perfectly colored and trimmed die cut. Once I got my background papers trimmed, I added the scalloped oval to make a little window seat for her. I propped Amy up on pop dots for dimension. My sentiment is from the BugBites Autumn Splendor stamp set.

Be sure to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva's blog this week to see the wonderful DT inspiration projects. I cant wait to see what you link up.

Candy. Good!

Well, it's the weekend already. I mentioned the other day I am in NYC for the marathon working. I have been making treats for my colleagues working with me. Yesterday I gave them each a fun little treat tube.
I used a tag from the Silhouette store, added this "Nerdy" candy corn character that you can find in the SVG Cutting Files store. I popped him up on foam tape. I then added a fun sentiment from Jaded Blossom as well as a tube topper using the Candy Charms and Banners die and the candy corn stamp.

I am now off to run the 5K this morning or perhaps I should say run, walk, run, walk, etc....LOL!

Have a crafty day!

Grateful Greetings!

Hey guys..It's my day to share a new SVG Cutting file just released today, the Pilgrim Stitch Up die cut. It's the latest addition to the NEW Stitch Up files. I used the hat for a Thanksgiving card.
I used simple embroidery floss to stitch my hat. I added it to a simple star-burst style card, added some black lace and a sentiment from the BugBites Autumn Splendor stamp set. Be sure to check out all the new files over at SVG Cutting Files today.

Have a crafty day!
