What's the Buzz?

What's the buzz? Well, the buzz here at BugBites is that it's another Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons design team day. That means a fun project made with PPPR files.

I am using quite few PPPR files today, especially an oldie but goodie, the Honey Bees.
The yellow and black go so well with so many things and bees work great for any occasion.

So lets see what other PPPR files did I use...

Honey Comb Heart shape for the background honey comb overlay,
The Borders 2 file for the scallop border

The sentiment is is from My Pink Stamper and the cute face is from  Peachy Keen. A few buttons and twine and a little sparkle on the wings has my card buzzing.

Please be sure to stop by the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog today and see all of the fantastic design team projects.

DCD Anything Goes Challenge

Welcome back to another Die Cuttin' Diva's  challenge and this week it is anything Goes!!!
I recently found out the little neighbor boy likes fireman. So I thought it would be fun to do a treat for him with a fireman on it somehow. Well, my solution was a lollipop holder.
I used the My Creative Time Lollipop holder metal die and embellished it with this cute fireman. He was a Free svg file over at SVG Cuts. You can find it here.

I used scrap paper from my stash and then added a Jaded Blossom sentiment from the Super Hero stamp set. The face is from Peachy Keen's Erkle and Merkle set.

I am looking forward to seeing all your wonderful and creative projects.
Be sure to hop over to the Die Cuttin' Diva's  blog to see all the fabulous projects the design team has created this week.

Merci!!

Wow, where do these weeks go?
It's a pink Monday and a Stamp Annie Thing design team day for me.
This week I am using the Stamp Annie Thing Ooh La La stamp set. The girl is so cute and there are many sentiments to go with it.
I have a super cute pink and black Carta Bella paper pack that has some super papers in shades of pink, black and grey that inspired my design.

I used my copic markers and did some paper piecing for the stamped image. I then did a little piercing around the mat for a faux stitched look. My canine companion is popped up on two thicknesses of foam tape.
Thanks to Ann over at SVG Cutting Files, who created this Poodle file for me.  You can find the link to this sophisticated  canine file here.

The card is finished off with some pretty pink trim and bling.

This image and the sentiment are all part of the Ooh La La stamp set which you can find here.

Have a terrific day!

Here's the Dirt....

You make me smile! Yup, it's Monday and my Stamp Annie Thing design day...it's got me smiling!
My card for you today was made using the super adorable little stamp from the Here's the Dirt stamp set. She is just so sweet.
I used some country looking papers form a 6x6 paper pack. I paper pieced her outfit and colored the rest with copic markers. The sentiment is also from this stamp set.

I added some bling in the corners and a button with a twine bow.

You too can get this cutie patootie stamp by clicking here.

Stop back in a couple days because we have a two day new stamp release blog hop coming up. Your going to love these new stamps!

See ya in a couple days!!

Seeing Double over at DCD

Welcome to another Die Cuttin' Diva's challenge. The DCD Design Team is seeing double this week. The challenge is Twice as Nice.....aka make a project using 2 of everything.

Ok, so I took the challenge a bit literally- I made two cards! Each card has 2 cherries with 2 leaves, with a double bow made from two types of ribbon and finally 2 buttons for accents.
Oh, yeah, did ya notice there are two different sentiments and 2 different colored green papers, and......ok, you get the idea.

The cherries are from Miss Kate Cuttables. They were a freebie a couple weeks ago. The sentiments are from MCT. Love how simple and neat these cards turned out. They kinda have a retro feel to them. I think I need to check out  more fruit for cards.

I am twice as excited to see your projects this week.

Not stop by the  Die Cuttin' Diva blog to see what the DT has created this week for you.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Summer Blog Hop

Welcome to the PPPR "Summer Funl" Blog Hop.
If you came here from Nicole's blog you're in the right place.  If you just stumbled upon this post and would like to start from the beginning, please visit Lisa's blog.
This months Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog hop theme is "Summer Fun". The DT has been working on summer themed projects using Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons files.

My project is a treat pack using the K-cup Treat file  and the brand new Smore's file.
For the treat holder, I eliminated the insert part and attached a plastic bag filled with a S'more snack mix. The mix is just mini graham crackers, mini marshmallows and Hershey chocolate drops---Yum!

Once I cut and pieced the title, I needed a background for it to rest on so I printed some rustic wood paper using the Man Oh Man digi paper pack.

I punched two holes just  under the handle to thread my twine through and tie it all up.
Now before you hop on.. I need to let you in on all the blog candy up for grabs.
I know, look at all that cool stuff! For a chance to win, you must be a follower of each blog on our hop and leave a comment on each blog.

Parade Time!

Summer is known for swimming at the lake, ice cream from the ice cream truck and of course the local town festival and parade.
Today is my design team day for Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and the local parade was my inspiration for my project today.

I used the adorable Fourth of July Kids cut files along with Grand Old Flag cut file set and Oval Label Treat Bag Topper for my parade time snack pack.

Oh my, can you just hear this little girl laughing and screaming while the big floats and fabulous marching bands go by.
This little snack is perfect to keep the kids occupied while waiting for the parade to start.

Now be sure to stop by the PPPR blog to see what the other design team members have done. Awesome is all I can say!

Die Cuttin' Diva's Ice Cream challenge.

Hello Tuesday and welcome to this weeks Die Cuttin' Diva challenge.
The days of summer have warmed up and no better way to beat the heat than with ice cream. So, this weeks challenge we want to see your "cool" projects featuring ice cream!
I love penguins. I think they are so happy looking and the black just pops against all the pastel colors. This paper is just fantastic. It's all from a 6x6 Carta Bella paper pack called Cool Summer. Sadly, it is almost gone.
Along with the fun paper, my penguin comes from the KaDoodle Bug Designs Cool  Penguins 2 set.  The sentiment is from the Jaded Blossoms Friendly Candies stamp set layered up on a charm die cut also from Jaded Blossom.

We had lots of fun projects posted last week so I hope to see you all link about again this week.

Don't forget to stop by the Die Cuttin' Diva blog to see what my DT sisters have created this week for you.

Spread the Love!

Happy Monday and Happy Stamp Annie Thing Design day.
I am so excited today because I am one work day away from being on vacation for the next 12 days!

Therefore, I have been busy working on crafty things for my blog so you all have some fun things to look at while I am away.

But today, I  have this super cute treat bag. Yes, another treat bag...I am obsessed I'm telling ya!
I came across these mini peanut butter sandwich cookies at the craft store of all places. The cookies and this cute little peanut stamp from the Our Lil Peanut stamp set were a perfect match. Now I just need a big cold glass of milk.

I made my own treat topper from a silhouette card base.
I stamped the peanuts, colored them with my copics and fussy cut them before pop dotting them to the topper.

The Spread the Love title is from SVG Cutting Files. Ann made it special for my project.

If you want to pick up this or any of the other Lil stamp sets, just click here.

See ya next Monday with another super cute Stamp Annie Thing project. I so super excited about it that I'm seeing pink!

Die Cuttin' Diva Ruby Red challenge

Hello Tuesday and welcome to another Die Cuttin' Diva weekly challenge. I love these challenges because it gets me thinking outside my comfort zone to do something different.
The challenge this week is a color challenge is the color is Ruby Red!
When I think of red, I think of lady bugs. This little bug was perfect for the challenge. I needed a card to send to a friend who has been having a tough couple weeks so I hope this little bug made her smile a little.

So, this little Ladybug is a file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. It is a cut file but I just printed and cut it as an oval. I then cut a scalloped oval behind it. The doily is from a metal die from My Creative Time. I used a simple scalloped border. The sentiment and tag is from My Craft Spot.

Please be sure to stop by and see all the other Design Team Ruby Red projects here and be sure to link up a project.

Going Bananas with Stamp Annie Thing stamps!

Happy Monday. It was so nice to have that long holiday weekend, right.

Today is my design day over at Stamp Annie Thing

I used the Our Lil Monkey stamp set this week. It's kinda how I am feeling this week since I am trying to get a bunch of things done this week before I get to go on vacation for 10 days- yeah!

I colored my lil' monkey with the Copic markers and then cut him out. I used some foam tape to add him to the front of my card. Oh, check out those cute bananas. Annie made those specially for me. She is so super sweet.

I also want to let you know that there are new Stamp Annie Thing stamps about to be released and we have a release blog hop planned. Mark your calendars.

See you next Monday!

Patriotic Treats

Happy Friday. For  many, this is another day off work to extend the long holiday weekend.
I just have a few last 4th of July treats to share with you.

These lollipop holders that were made using the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Fourth of July Kids cut file set.

I used the medallion and added a layer around before I printed and cut it.  I then added a star once I tied it all up with twine. The sentiments are from Peachy Keen and My Creative Time.

The last little treat is a small box filled with sweet and salty snacks. I used another wonderful PPPR cut file to create the top.

This time I used the firecracker rocket from the Fantastic Fireworks file set. The sentiment and label are all from My Creative Time.

Enjoy the  weekend!!

Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the holiday with friends and family.
I have another treat bag I did for a friend.

Have a super day!!

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons 4th of July treats

I am so excited, the company is closing at 1pm today so that means an extra half day of vacation this week for me, yeah!
Today is Design Team day at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons
I have been making treat bags for this week and the PPPR Grand Old Flag cut file set fit the bill perfectly.

I started with the treat topper which was made using the Layered Labels 2 file set. Just sized it to the width of my treat bag. Then I just started cutting and gluing.

I printed and cut the sentiment banner, "Proud to be an American" from the Grand Old Flag file.
Cut and glued the Star Flag die cut from the Grand Old Flag file... I love the star!
Stamped the Happy 4th sentiment from My Creative Time
Filled the bags with sweet snack mix. Done!

I just love how these turned out. They will be fun to give to the neighbor boy and a few friends.

Please be sure to stop by the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog to see what awe inspiring projects my DT friends have created. They are unbelievable!

Oh, I found the snack mix recipe on Pinterest. Here is a link to the post for the recipe. Enjoy!!!

It's a Sketchy Challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas!

Wow, it's only a couple days before the 4th of July, Oh my!
I'm still looking for the month of June!

Well, today is the start of another weekly challenge over at Die Cuttin' Divas. This week we have a sketch for you to try. So because I have been in the red, white and blue mode, my card has a 4th of July twist to the sketch.
Here's the inspiration sketch
I know many of you have been using the washi tape, and though I have a few, well many, rolls of it, I think this is only my second project using it. The red stripes of paisley behind the buttons are done with the washi tape.

Now how about that super cute Uncle Sam die cut from SVG Cutting Files. Does he look familiar? Over the weekend I posted a treat favor using him as well and it doesn't stop there.  I have another project or two lined up using him later this week.

I finished the card with a sentiment from My Creative Time, a couple buttons and some twine. Be sure to jump over to the Die Cuttin' Diva website to see what my DT pals have created for you as well.

Celebrate America!

Happy Monday. What a gorgeous weekend, the weather was fantastic. I was able to get so much done in my yard and even got in some crafting time to finish all of my holiday cards and treats.

Today is my Stamp Annie Thing Design day and I am excited to share a 4th of July treat I made using the Stamp Annie Thing Lulu's Valentines Day stamp set. Yes, you read right, the Valentine stamps have gone patriotic.
I first stamped Lulu and colored her hair, face, arms and shoes. I then stamped her a few more times on patterned paper and trimmed around the parts I wanted for her shirt, pants and balloons. After gluing these patterned pieces to the original stamped image, I hand cut around the entire image.

The candy tube holder and stars behind it are from the SVG Cutting Files online store here.
I sized it to fit the extra large candy tube I found at the local craft store. I then added some twine around the top and a sentiment from the Stamp Annie Thing Party in the USA stamp set.

All of the Stamp Annie Thing stamps can be mixed and matched. Get yours here.

Have a terrific holiday week!
