Pinwheel card

Well, I am in Barcelona today ready to get on a cruise ship for the next 6 days for work.
I must say the weather is not the best- very overcast and really windy. Let's hope this passes soon or it could be a rocky night at sea.

Little Scrap Pieces has a new challenge this week to use a bow.
I saw this great tutorial over at  OWH Stars and Stripes for a pinwheel card and had to try it quick. OMG, it was so super simple and quick to put together and without using my Circut! I added a button with a bow in the middle.

Here's how I did it...
All papers from 6x6 paper pack from Doodlebug Hello Spring-- I am in love with these mini paper stacks- so perfect for cards and all the papers coordinate!
Card size is A2
Tim Holz ink on all edges
Button is from my stash using Twine from Twinery for the bow on the button
Sentiment is from BugBites All Year Round stamp set.

Hoot Hooray- it's going to be a great day!

Hey everyone, it's a great day, got some exciting news and will share it with you soon.

In the meantime, I have a quick post today being I'm off to the airport shortly for business travel out of the country.

This little card was done with papers from a new 6x6 paper pack from Bazzill called Dino-Mite. It has some really cute boy type papers in it. You can also find this paper over at Ginger Snap Scraps.

I recycled some ribbon from another project. I'm not sure I would have put these colors together, but I was inspired by a challenge photo over at Pin-spirational. I love these google-eyes with the colored eye lids, really gives this owl personality.

I am also linking this up over at Getting Cricky for their challenge this week- Give a Hoot!

I have a few things finished just need to take photos so I can post them while I am gone this week. Have a great weekend everyone!

Here's how I did it....
A2 base card
Paper from Bazzill Dino- Mite paper pack
Addtl papers from my scrap box
Owl/layers cut at 2.2" from Straight from the Nest
EK border punch
Ribbon recycled from another project
Eyes and buttons from my stash
Sentiment from My Pink Stamper Biggie Punnies

Happy Monday- Have a blooming good day!

It's Monday and I had a great weekend scrapping with some friends. I was trying to work on a scrapbook of pictures from a group trip last year. In between pages, I tried to get some smaller projects completed, a gift card, thank you card, etc.

Paper Sundaes has a challenge this week called "Let's Get Cute" - pull out your cute stamps or images for a project.
Well, a while back I had picked up my first Pure Innocence stamp. I have ooh'd and ahh'd over them many times, but never made the purchase before because I am not very good with my markers; blending colors, highlighting, and all that good stuff.
And, I have never paper pieced with a stamped image before. So, this was a good chance to try it.
The dress was the biggest challenge to get all the little dress pieces trimmed out after stamping on the pattern paper. I am pretty happy with how this turned out. I might have to do this again soon!

Here's How I did it....
A2 base card on Kraft stock with inked edges
All pattern papers from My Minds Eye A beautiful Life 6x6 paper stack
Pure Innocence Blooming Good Day stamp colored with Copic markers
Mat sized on the Gypsy from Elegant Edges
Ribbon from my stash
All edges inked with Tim Holz ink

A card for a few challenges.

In between working on my scrapbook pages, I took a break to do a project for a few challenges out there.

A while back I picked up a card magazine from Joann's and in the plastic wrap with it was a 6x6 paper pack called Let's fly away! It is all text weight paper but has this really cute dot paper and cloud paper.
They were the perfect colors for the Peachy Keen challenge this week.

The other challenges I am linking this up to are....
Fantabulous Cricut- April Showers
Scrappy Moms Stamps Tuesday challenge
Pin-spirational Challenge
My Craft Spot Challenge, Make it pop

Here's how I did it....
Mat cut at 4.25" from Lacey labels
A2 card base
Man/layers cut at 3.25" from Paper Doll dress up
Dog/layers cut at 2.75" from Birthday Bash
Face stamped using Peachy Keen Boy Mate Faces
Sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps Kids Incorporated
Heart brad from my stash
Dog is popped up with dimensionals.

Food Fare Friday

Hey, it's Friday!! I am so excited to be scrapping with my friends this weekend. We arrived at the retreat yesterday. We all tried to cut back on our supplies and not bring EVERYTHING...well, even doing that seems we still have loads of stuff packed in every part of the car.

I started my morning with a recipe page of a super easy and yummy recipe. It was one my friend brought to the last retreat for us to try.  It is also a very easy recipe to cut in half.
I hand wrote the recipe...mainly because I do not have access to a printer here, but I like the old fashioned look it has.
Here's how I did it...
8x8 base
All paper from my stash
Flowers/layers cut at 2.5" from Freshly Picked cartridge
Border from the CM border punch system
Ribbon from Stampin' Up

My Pink Stamper Blog Hop and Challenge

Robyn over at My Pink Stamper had a blog hop last night- wow what great things from that DT. Everyone can participate...once you finish the hop, create any project with a Mother's Day theme and link it up.

I have been trying to think of other ways to use the Croc Rules cart. It's so super cute. Last night before I turned the lights out, I was browsing the cart and came across this cute flower border. Who knew among all those crocodiles, there were flowers. Oh, the ideas starting to run through my head.

So after al lthose ideas, this is what finally materialized.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Late post of an Easter project

I have been a bit MIA this week. I am working on some projects and will get back to posting on a regular basis. In the mean time, I wanted to post a project I did for Easter.

My Friend invited us over for Easter dinner with her family. I thought I should make some treats for everyone. I decide to make carrot containers filled with chocolate. The kids are all in high school or college so no baskets to fill, so it was fun to bring treats for everyone.

The carrot box is an svg file from the Hippity Hoppity SVG kit over at SVGcuts.com

The file doesn't look like it would piece together large enough to hold a handful of candy so I sized it to fit a whole sheet of 12x12 paper. WOW- that was one huge carrot when it was all together. So I went back and sized it down so when all is done it measures about 8.5" tall. It holds quite a few treats.

I made 16 of these carrots and brought them in a basket to Easter dinner.
The tag was from Once Upon a Princess, my favorite cart for tags.
The sentiment was from My Pink Stamper.

Now how about that adorable Easter card.....well I can't take credit. I was lucky to receive this card from my friend. Super Cute!!

I'll be back later with some other things.

All paper is from my stash as well as from my scrap box.
I used a couple different Cuttlebug embossing folders for the front of the birdhouse as well as the roof. I recently ordered the new Paper Dolls Teen Scene Cricut cartridge from Ginger Snap Scraps and am glad to show you my first project with it.
My card is a basic A2 size card. The adorable paper is from My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally 6x6 paper stack. You can find lots of My Mind's Eye Paper stacks over at Ginger Snap Scraps now. Just click here.

The girl with her rain slicker is cut at 4.5". The tag is from Once Upon a Princess that was sized on my gypsy and the umbrella from Everyday Paper dolls cut at 4.4". I stamped her face using Peachy Keen Boy Mates Faces stamp set. The sentiment is from my very own BugBites All Year Round Stamp set.

I added glossy accents to the rain coat and umbrella along with buttons and black pearls from my stash to complete this girls spring look.
I inked the edges with Tim Holtz tea dye ink and added a bow on the umbrella using twine from the Twinery, both products along with the Peachy Keen face stamps can be found over at Ginger Snap Scraps now.

A Bit of Jo

I was going through my scrap die cuts and found that I had started this coffee pot card awhile ago. I think I put it aside because I wasn't sure how to finish it. Not sure I still am in love with this, but it will be a nice little card with a Starbuck's gift card inside for someone.

I am traveling all this week - watch for my post tomorrow with a hint of where I am. What an adventure!

Here's how I did it....
Pattern paper from My Minds Eye
All other paper from my scrap box
Sized the coffee pot to 5.25" from Just Because Cards on my gypsy and then welded two together for the base.
Cut the coffee pot/layers again in navy paper for the front.
Tag is using  My Creative Time's Curly Die
Sentiment from My Creative Time's You are Perk-fect stamp set
Twine from Twinery
